On 25th October, 2024 our school held a heart warming retirement celebration for Mrs. Jaya Toshniwal, our esteemed PGT Mathematics teacher, who has dedicated her precious years of service into educating and mentoring students at Sophia. The event was organized by the School Management, Staff and Students to honor her valuable contributions and lasting impact on the school community. The event began with an enlightening Prayer Service. The students also dedicated beautiful dance performances on the stage. After which our Principal, Sr. Jessy shared her words of wisdom for Ma’am Jaya and felicitated her. The students enacted a light hearted skit showcasing the spirit of a classroom—filled with laughter, connections and the memorable moments we all treasure. The teachers and the School Choir dedicated various songs to Ma’am Jaya which left everyone teary eyed. After which, Ma’am Jaya shared her marvellous lifelong experiences, reflecting on her long association with the school and the memories she would take with her. It was a very emotional yet impactful programme.
