Girl Child Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 8 September 2026, with the aim of recognising the importance, potential and rights of every girl child. The programme commenced with a meaningful Prayer Service. This was followed by an inspiring speech delivered by Ananya Sharma of Class IX-B, who highlighted the importance of educating, empowering and providing equal opportunities to girls. The highlight of the celebration was a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak presented by the students, which was also later enacted at the Collectrate. Through an engaging performance, the students brought attention to issues concerning gender equality, education, respect and the need to challenge social stereotypes. The students were also honoured for their commendable participation in various inter-school events, including the MPS Inter-School Debate Competition, St. Anselm’s MUN, and the Matra Shakti Competition. Their enthusiasm, confidence, and active participation brought pride and recognition to the school.
The programme concluded with an encouraging speech by Sister Principal, who emphasised on the vital role of education in empowering girls and building a more equal and inclusive society.
