A PPT-cum-Debate Competition was organised by SCINOVA, Science Club, for students of Classes IX-XII on 7
August 2026. The event aimed to provide students with a platform to express their ideas on the topic 'Ethanol
Fuels: Promise or Peril?'. The judges of the event were the Vice Principal, Sr. Anisha, Dr. Vibha Khanna and Dr.
Mriganka Upadhyay.
The thought-provoking theme encouraged the students to explore the advantages and limitations of ethanol as an
alternative fuel. Through the debate, participants presented arguments both in favour of and against the use of
ethanol fuels, discussing aspects such as environmental impact, energy efficiency, sustainability and economic
implications.
The PPT presentations added a visual and informative dimension to the event. Students used facts, data and
creative presentations to support their arguments and demonstrated commendable research skills, confidence,
creativity, critical thinking and oratory abilities.
The event concluded on a positive note, leaving the participants with valuable insights and an enhanced
awareness of the opportunities and challenges associated with ethanol fuels.
